Camp Cosmos is an exciting week-long astronomy camp specifically designed for middle school students, ranging from post 5th to pre 9th grade. It offers an immersive journey into the wonders of the cosmos, featuring interactive lessons and activities about stars, planets, galaxies, and the universe. Campers will have the unique opportunity to explore and tour facilities at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), gaining insights into advanced astronomical research and technologies.
A special feature of Camp Cosmos is the access to a network of robotic telescopes, which extends beyond the camp duration. Students can utilize this access for an entire year, providing a continuous and hands-on learning experience in astronomy. In addition to the educational benefits, the camp fosters social connections and friendship among like-minded peers, making it a holistic experience that combines learning, exploration, and fun in a supportive environment.
