Porchlight Music Theatre Summer Camp offers an exciting summer of creativity and performance with camps tailored to budding performers of all ages. Younger children, ages 4-6, can dive into storytelling with "Mini Musicals," where they explore new environments and characters through music and dance. For slightly older kids, ages 7-10, "Broadway Basics" offers a hands-on experience in character creation, singing, and dancing, with a final performance to showcase their work. The "Intermediate Ensemble" program for ages 11-13 takes this a step further, as campers focus on musical theater songs, choreography, and create a lively musical revue to share with family and friends.
For high school-aged actors (14-17 years), Porchlight's Broadway Dance and Broadway Singing Intensives provide an excellent opportunity to refine specific musical theater skills. These intensives are ideal for any young performer looking to level up their abilities, especially those considering auditions for college music theater programs. Additionally, a newly introduced scripted camp for ages 7-13 allows campers to work with a script, adding another layer to their theatrical training. Porchlight supports accessibility with aftercare, scholarships, and flexible payment plans, making this enriching experience available to all young performers.
